PS5 will finally have cloud gaming: the March update will help our hard drive, according to a report

A report from Insider Gaming has reported that, after the PlayStation 5 update 7.00, exclusive PS5 titles can be played via streaming. On top of that, full compatibility with Discord will also come to PS5.

Titled "Project Cronus", the game from the cloud of PlayStation's next-generation deliveries has been in the testing phase for several months now.

Also, it seems, this function will be reserved for the Premium level of PlayStation Plus. So there are some drawbacks for our area.

Since the PS Plus Premium subscription is not available in Mexico, it is not certain that this feature will be available in Latin America, as is the case with PlayStation Now.

That service is in charge of cloud gaming for PlayStation and so far offers titles from all generations of the company up to the PS4, including the PSP.

However, despite the fact that it has been in operation since 2014, today PlayStation Now cannot be used in the Latin American area.

So it is quite likely that we do not have access to the "Cronus Project". Something that would be quite disappointing because it would save us a lot of space on the storage disk since the games are heavier than ever.

But hey, not all of them are complaints (although they are a bit) because, in terms of Discord functions, we will surely be able to use these.

This means that there will be a new voice chat, always providing more options for the player. Already during mid-2021, Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony, revealed the merger.

The leaks regarding this alliance have been circulating on the net since last year, where the most striking mention is that, for PS5, voice chat and transmission of what you are playing will be added, but for PS4 it only seems that the transmission will be available. Something that attracts attention, because at first, it would not seem very complicated for both functions to reach the last console.

Discord demonstrated exponential growth during the height of the pandemic lockdowns, reaching a 40% increase from its previous base, amassing 140 million users. For what is, indisputably, one of the most powerful gaming communication channels in the field.

Be that as it may, we will have to confirm after the release of the 7.00 update if all this ends up being real and if, in one of those, we are lucky and the PlayStation cloud gaming reaches our area.
