BMW will bring 15 new vehicles to Mexico in 2023: 10 of them will be electrified and among them is the BMW XM

The decision is accompanied by BMW's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

Among the electrified vehicles that will arrive in Mexico next year are the new BMW iX1 and BMW i7, the BMW XM with its plug-in hybrid powertrain developed by BMW, as well as the BMW iX M60.

A more near-term goal for BMW, and one that it plans to achieve with this lineup, is to have more than two million all-electric vehicles on the road by the end of 2025.

As for MINI, a BMW brand, it will have a range of all-electric products by early 2030, while Rolls-Royce will become an all-electric brand in 2030.

BMW's motorcycle line, BMW Motorrad, will launch a new electric model every 18 to 24 months. In addition, by 2023 celebrations are expected as Motorrad celebrates 100 years in the market.

BMW XM will arrive in Mexico in 2023

BMW XM, the first high-performance vehicle with an electrified propulsion system, will arrive in Mexico by 2023. A few months ago we told you about its launch and price in the United States.

It's expected to arrive in that country early next year with a base price of $159,995, but options should add a hefty sum to that total.

The BMW XM is an SUV with a plug-in hybrid powertrain and claims to be the most powerful current production BMW.

The XM's powertrain consists of a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 paired with an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed automatic transmission. Its battery pack is 25.7 kWh and allows an electric driving range of just under 50 km.

With that, it reaches 644 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. However, later there will be a more powerful Label Red version with 735 hp and 735 pound-feet, which is what would make it the most powerful production BMW.

In Mexico, BMW XM is expected to arrive during the first quarter of 2023 with a base price of 4,200,000 pesos
